The short version
Two rebate categories matter on a Baldwin County HVAC install: the Alabama Power Smart Neighbor rebate (typically $200–$500 per qualifying heat pump install for utility customers) and manufacturer seasonal rebates ($50–$1,500 depending on brand, quarter, and equipment tier). Both stack with the federal 25C tax credit (covered on the tax credits page) and HVAC financing. Air Solutions files the paperwork on both programs.
The Smart Neighbor program is Alabama Power's residential heat pump rebate, available to utility customers who install a qualifying heat pump system. Rebates typically run $200–$500 per install, depending on equipment efficiency tier and program-year funding. The program is subject to change and can be paused without notice; we confirm current availability and rebate amount during the in-home consultation.
Air Solutions submits the rebate paperwork on your behalf at install. The rebate flows from Alabama Power directly to the customer (typically as a check or bill credit) after the utility verifies the install. You don't have to chase the paperwork; we handle the submission and follow up if processing stalls.
Most of Baldwin County is in Alabama Power service territory. A small fraction of residents in parts of Daphne, Spanish Fort, and Foley are on Riviera Utilities, Baldwin EMC, or Gulf Power instead. Baldwin EMC periodically runs heat pump and water heater rebate programs of its own; Riviera does not currently run an active heat pump rebate program. We check your utility provider on the in-home consultation and confirm what rebates apply to your specific address.
Major HVAC manufacturers run rotating seasonal rebate programs that stack on top of utility and federal incentives. The promotions are time-limited, often quarter-specific, and require the equipment to be installed by an authorized dealer. Air Solutions is authorized for all the major brands; see our brands we service page for current authorized-dealer status and brand-specific service notes.
When a manufacturer rebate is active and your equipment qualifies, we apply the rebate at quote so you see the net price, and we submit the manufacturer documentation directly. The customer never has to chase paperwork.
Rebates and federal tax credits are independent programs and they stack on the same install. A typical 2026 Baldwin County heat pump install can claim:
On a 3-ton variable-speed inverter heat pump install, the stacked total can reduce effective cash cost by $2,500– $4,000 against the sticker quote. We bring the actual numbers to the in-home consultation against your specific equipment quote and your home's Manual J load.
