HVAC rebates · Baldwin County, AL

Utility + Manufacturer Rebates on Your HVAC Install.

Alabama Power Smart Neighbor heat pump rebates, manufacturer promotions from Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Rheem, and Bryant — what's available in Baldwin County, what they pay, and how Air Solutions handles the paperwork. Federal tax credits live on a separate page.

The short version

Two rebate categories matter on a Baldwin County HVAC install: the Alabama Power Smart Neighbor rebate (typically $200–$500 per qualifying heat pump install for utility customers) and manufacturer seasonal rebates ($50–$1,500 depending on brand, quarter, and equipment tier). Both stack with the federal 25C tax credit (covered on the tax credits page) and HVAC financing. Air Solutions files the paperwork on both programs.

Utility rebate

Alabama Power Smart Neighbor Heat Pump Rebates.

The Smart Neighbor program is Alabama Power's residential heat pump rebate, available to utility customers who install a qualifying heat pump system. Rebates typically run $200–$500 per install, depending on equipment efficiency tier and program-year funding. The program is subject to change and can be paused without notice; we confirm current availability and rebate amount during the in-home consultation.

Air Solutions submits the rebate paperwork on your behalf at install. The rebate flows from Alabama Power directly to the customer (typically as a check or bill credit) after the utility verifies the install. You don't have to chase the paperwork; we handle the submission and follow up if processing stalls.

Most of Baldwin County is in Alabama Power service territory. A small fraction of residents in parts of Daphne, Spanish Fort, and Foley are on Riviera Utilities, Baldwin EMC, or Gulf Power instead. Baldwin EMC periodically runs heat pump and water heater rebate programs of its own; Riviera does not currently run an active heat pump rebate program. We check your utility provider on the in-home consultation and confirm what rebates apply to your specific address.

Manufacturer rebates

Trane, Carrier, Lennox, Rheem — Brand-Specific Promotions.

Major HVAC manufacturers run rotating seasonal rebate programs that stack on top of utility and federal incentives. The promotions are time-limited, often quarter-specific, and require the equipment to be installed by an authorized dealer. Air Solutions is authorized for all the major brands; see our brands we service page for current authorized-dealer status and brand-specific service notes.

  • Trane Comfort Specialist promotions: seasonal rebates ranging from $100 on entry-tier equipment to $1,500 on premium variable-speed XV-series heat pumps. Strong in spring (April–June) and fall (September–November) typically.
  • Carrier Cool Cash and Performance Series rebates: $50–$1,500 depending on equipment tier and active promotional cycle. Carrier runs Cool Cash heavily during summer cooling-season demand peaks.
  • Lennox Premier Dealer rebates: $300–$1,500 on Lennox Signature Collection equipment. Premier Dealer status (which Air Solutions holds) is required.
  • Rheem Pro Partner rebates: $50–$800 typical on RA-, RP-, and Prestige-series equipment. Rheem also runs water-heater rebate cross-promotions.
  • Bryant, Goodman, American Standard, York, Daikin: periodic rebate programs through dealer channels. Promotional rates vary by season and tier.

When a manufacturer rebate is active and your equipment qualifies, we apply the rebate at quote so you see the net price, and we submit the manufacturer documentation directly. The customer never has to chase paperwork.

The stack

Rebates Stack with Federal Tax Credits and Financing.

Rebates and federal tax credits are independent programs and they stack on the same install. A typical 2026 Baldwin County heat pump install can claim:

  • Federal 25C tax credit (up to $2,000) on the federal return — see the tax credits page for details
  • Alabama Power Smart Neighbor rebate ($200–$500) when program is active and equipment qualifies
  • Manufacturer seasonal rebate ($0–$1,500) when active
  • HVAC financing on the remaining cost — affordable monthly payments

On a 3-ton variable-speed inverter heat pump install, the stacked total can reduce effective cash cost by $2,500– $4,000 against the sticker quote. We bring the actual numbers to the in-home consultation against your specific equipment quote and your home's Manual J load. HVAC Rebates — Frequently Asked Questions

  • What's the difference between a tax credit and a rebate?
A federal tax credit reduces your federal tax liability when you file your return for the year the equipment was placed in service — claimed on IRS Form 5695. A utility rebate (like Alabama Power Smart Neighbor) is paid by the utility either as a check or a bill credit after the install is documented and verified. A manufacturer rebate is paid by the equipment manufacturer (Trane, Carrier, Lennox, etc.) typically as a check or VISA prepaid card after the install is documented through their authorized dealer. The three programs are independent and stack — claiming one does not affect eligibility for the others.
  • How much is the Alabama Power Smart Neighbor heat pump rebate?
Rebate amounts typically run $200-$500 per qualifying heat pump install, depending on equipment efficiency tier and program-year funding. Air Solutions submits the paperwork on your behalf at install when the program is active and your equipment qualifies. Program rates are subject to change and the program can be paused without notice — we confirm current availability during the in-home consultation.
  • Do I need to be an Alabama Power customer to get the rebate?
Yes. The Smart Neighbor rebate is available only to residential Alabama Power utility customers. Most of Baldwin County is in Alabama Power service territory, but a small fraction of Daphne, Spanish Fort, and Foley residents are on Riviera Utilities, Baldwin EMC, or Gulf Power instead. We confirm your utility provider on the in-home consultation; if you are on a different utility, we check that utility's separate rebate programs (Baldwin EMC sometimes offers heat pump and water heater rebates; Riviera does not currently run a heat pump rebate program but check the website for changes).
  • Which manufacturer rebates does Air Solutions handle?
Air Solutions is an authorized installer for the major HVAC brands and processes manufacturer rebates for Trane (Comfort Specialist promotions), Carrier (Cool Cash and similar seasonal programs), Lennox (Premier Dealer rebates), Rheem (Pro Partner rebates), Bryant, Goodman, American Standard, York, and Daikin. Promotions vary by quarter and brand. When a rebate is active and the equipment qualifies, we apply it at quote (so you see the net price) and submit the manufacturer documentation directly. The customer never has to chase paperwork.
  • Are there commercial HVAC rebates available in Baldwin County?
Yes. Alabama Power runs commercial and industrial energy-efficiency programs separate from the Smart Neighbor residential rebate, including custom rebates for commercial heat pump and high-efficiency RTU installs. Manufacturer commercial rebate programs (Trane, Carrier, Lennox commercial divisions) run periodic promotional cycles. Air Solutions handles the documentation and submission for commercial accounts on service contracts. See our commercial HVAC service hub for service-contract details and Section 179 install documentation formatted for your CPA.
  • What about water heater rebates if I'm replacing my HVAC at the same time?
Alabama Power and several other Baldwin County utilities offer separate rebates on heat pump water heaters (typically $300-$500). The federal 25C credit also covers heat pump water heaters under the $2,000 heat pump cap. If you're replacing your HVAC and the water heater at the same time, the combined incentive stack can be substantial. Air Solutions installs heat pump water heaters on request as part of broader home electrification or HVAC replacement projects.
